Gingertown Challenge

Founded in 2006, Gingertown is a holiday spirited initiative that allots designers and teams to build creative town structures. Each year, David M. Schwartz Architects hosts the event and creates a new master plan for the "magical town of ginger." This year's site plan was set around the streets of London and Heery's Atlanta team got in on the action.

Teams design their structures using the sweetest trimmings including chocolate, frosting, sprinkles and more. Heery was tasked with creating Tic Tac Tate, a take on the Tate Modern, and used a spectrum of goodies. Proceeds of the event were donated to two charities; Lifecycle Building Center and Covenant House. The structures are displayed at local hospitals, health care facilities and community support organizations to inspire hope and joy this holiday season.
