Aspen Valley Hospital Completes Phase III Renovation

Timeless architecture that reflects the beauty of Aspen, the stunning renovation of Aspen Valley Hospital incorporates natural light and extraordinary view opportunities to provide a connection to the mountains, the trees and the sky. Within its walls, the new facility exemplifies the quality of care and quality of life of this growing, world-class resort community.

To meet the needs of the Aspen Community, Aspen Valley Hospital (AVH) is transforming from an outdated, 70,000 square foot, inpatient-focused Critical Access Hospital, into a progressive, 230,000 square foot, outpatient-oriented, efficient, and user-friendly medical center. Since the 2005, the hospital has implemented the master plan in four separate phases, recently completing its third phase.

Phase Three adds a two-story addition and expansion of the Center for Diagnostic Imaging and new Women's Imaging Center; the Resnick Family Emergency Department complete with a trauma treatment suite and rooftop helipad; and a Surgical Center that includes new operative suites.

CBRE | Heery’s Denver design group has worked with the hospital for over a decade on the project, having developed the master plan, the design and the ongoing implementation of the expansion and renovation phases, transforming AVH from an outdated, 70,000 square foot inpatient-focused critical access hospital, and has since reaching to become a becoming a progressive, 230,000 square foot, outpatient-oriented medical center.  The design is supportive of today’s contemporary standards for patient care.
