Yakima Valley Technical Skills Center - Yakima School District

Heery is providing project and construction management services for the new Yakima Valley Technical Skills Center (YV Tech).  When its original facilities were built in 1978, YV Tech offered six programs. Today, YV Tech offers more than 17 programs, including auto technology, aviation, carpentry, fire fighting, medical sciences and audio/video production. The center is operated by an inter-district cooperative agreement with 15 school districts. 

The new two-story facility will be completed in two phases: Phase I is 40,000 SF and Phase II will add 95,000 SF. Heery is providing support during design, including constructability reviews, financial reporting and design estimate reviews.  During construction, Heery will provide onsite administration and observation services including procedure implementation, change order management, project reporting, inspection coordination and job site meeting coordination.
