Heery International has provided ongoing services to the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) for over a decade on projects throughout the System’s locations in metropolitan Baltimore and on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. UMMS is the nations fifth oldest and first public medical school and a recognized leader in biomedical research and medical education. The healthcare system includes 1,682 beds and has more than 11,000 employees.

Heery is providing program management services to support the System’s plan for capital improvements through 2010, with an estimated $500 million in value. Recent and current projects include: planning and procurement services for the $200 million Ambulatory Care Center project on the main campus of the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC); equipment planning for the $57 million Core Facilities Replacement Project at Maryland General Hospital; project management services for the $32 million Emergency Services Pavilion and Outpatient Center at Memorial Hospital Easton; project management services for the $80 million renovation of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center; project management services for the $3 million Emergency Department renovation at Dorchester General Hospital; audit of project management procedures at the $117 million expansion project for Baltimore Washington Medical Center; and project oversight services for the West County Medical Office Building lease/construction project.

Previously completed work at the UMMC included project management services for clinical renovations such as: Gamma Knife Replacement; Labor & Delivery Renovations; Cath Lab Equipment Replacement; Fetal Monitoring System Installation; and Pediatric Psychiatric Unit Renovations.
