Texas A & M - New Football Team Facility

Heery provided architectural design services to Texas A&M University for a new football team facility at the south end zone of Kyle Field.  The new facility houses Aggie locker rooms, training, taping, equipment storage and other ancillary rooms. Unique features include a 200-seat auditorium, plus large rooms for offensive and defensive meetings.  Additionally, breakout position rooms are located nearby for specialized squad meetings. The upper level features a players’ lounge/recruiting room and coaches offices. The facility also houses a 24,000 SF academic center equipped with state-of-the-art computer and teaching/tutoring facilities.

Outside, a large elevated plaza for player recreation and pre-game functions is a unique design feature of the complex. The plaza is designed to align with the future south end zone grandstand second level concourse thus tying the building into the overall stadium.
