Temple University
Ambler, Pennsylvania
The Ambler, Pennsylvania, campus of Temple University is known for its degrees in community and regional planning, horticulture and landscape architecture. The new educational/technical learning center building was the first new building on campus since the 1980s, and, naturally, required a design consistent with sustainable planning and best landscaping practices.
The Pennsylvania Department of General Services hired Heery to perform the pre-construction services on this important 50,000 SF, three-story building project, including design and constructability reviews of all trades, independent cost estimates for each design submission, review of the designer’s cost estimates and scheduling. The learning center opened in 2005 and provided the campus with a new computer laboratory, classrooms and auditorium.
