T. Rowe Price Investor Centers

L.A., San Francisco, Boston, and Short Hills, New Jersey

While Baltimore-based T. Rowe Price had an extensive in-house facilities department to handle local needs, the mutual fund company turned to Heery International to help create investor centers in other areas of the country. Heery’s multiple locations provided "eyes and ears" on the ground to represent T. Rowe Price’s interests with local contractors and suppliers.

Heery’s relationship with T. Rowe Price began in early 1999, when the firm was hired to develop an architectural concept to support and reinforce T. Rowe Price’s high quality of investor service.  Heery developed a prototypical 3,500 SF investor center with areas for client managers and numerous electronic resource desks. The centers cater to an upscale clientele, and the finishes throughout the facility reflect this higher-end audience.

Once the design was completed, Heery coordinated all members of the design and construction team to deliver these projects, starting with the Los Angeles center, which had to be constructed within a demanding 10-week schedule. To maintain this schedule, Heery’s national project director conducted a weekly conference call between all construction phase stakeholders.

Heery provided project management services from design through construction and move-in for a 2,100 SF investor center in Short Hills, New Jersey.  Heery also provided project management services for a 3,600 SF walk-in Investor Center in the Boston area.  This project was completed on time within a brief 10-week schedule. This was made possible, in part, by Heery’s constructability recommendations, which helped to expedite the project.
