Spokane Public Schools

Spokane, Washington

Spokane Public Schools had great success utilizing the GC/CM delivery method on two of its recently completed projects – Rogers High School’s $50.5 million modernization and Shadle Park High School’s $50 million renovation.  As part of the overall project management services, Heery helped Spokane Public Schools by guiding the GC/CM pilot program, assisting with the design phase management process, reviewing the architect and GC/CM estimates, and developing process schedules and assisting with OSPI. Heery also guided the guaranteed construction cost negotiations, buyout process and the construction phase.

In 2010, Heery was selected once again to manage the 240,000 SF replacement of Ferris High School for the District to be delivered utilizing the GC/CM method. Like the District and Heery’s previous GC/CM collaborations—Rogers and Shadle Park High Schools—Ferris High School will be occupied by students throughout construction, requiring the project to be executed in multiple phases.
