Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) Airport
Seattle, Washington
The Port of Seattle retained Heery as part of a consortium to provide professional program and construction management services for Sea-Tac International Airport’s $10 billion, multi-year capital improvement program. Heery has provided project managers, design managers, resident engineers, project control experts, cost estimators, inspectors, commissioning experts and safety managers to help Sea-Tac become one of United States’ major departure and arrival airports.
Over the last decade Heery provided key staff for the new Concourse A ($500 million), Central Terminal Expansion ($225 million), C60 & C1 Baggage Handling Systems ($200 million), Third Runway Project ($1billion), Rental Car Facility ($350 million) and over 100 other projects including airside & landside projects, concessions, ticket counters, gate counters and airline tenant offices.
Key issues included coordination and phasing to maintain 24/7 operations. This was accomplished by very detailed scheduling and continual coordination with airport operations and staff. This kept the projects on schedule and within budget while avoiding conflicts.
