Regions Center (formerly AmSouth Bank) - Commissioning

Regions (AmSouth) Center is the 30-story, downtown headquarters of one of Alabama’s largest banks.  Heery is responsible for managing the replacement of aging chilled water systems, upgrading the air handling system throughout the building and upgrading the emergency generators. Included in this
assignment is the development and oversight of the commissioning of these systems as they come online. Of particular challenge is conducting these improvements while the building is fully occupied with no loss of service.

Commissioning for the project included assessment and testing of existing systems prior to start of construction.  Heery commissioned the following systems:

• New generator system including paralleling gear and electrical panel upgrades
• Upgraded emergency generator cooling and ventilation systems
• New chillers, economizer, boilers and cooling towers
• New building management systems
• Floor air distribution renovation
• Upgrades to all air handling units
