Raleigh Convention Center

Heery is providing phased project management services for the new Raleigh Convention Center, totaling approximately 500,000 GSF with an estimated budget of $180 million.  Heery serves in a staff augmentation capacity to the city’s construction management department, working in a seamless arrangement with the city.

A central goal for the convention center was that it achieve LEED certification.  When it opens, it will be the most sustainable building the city has ever built

Heery’s consulting services encompass preparing requests for qualifications and requests for proposals for the project; assisting in organizing and coordinating the consultant evaluation process; scheduling services to include an overall work plan/schedule for the project integrating the acquisition of property, environmental remediation, hotel developer selection process and initial site work; assisting in developing and managing a pre-qualification/selection process for selecting the project’s construction manager at risk; developing and coordinating geotechnical explorations; coordinating environmental work; developing and expediting contracts for consultants; coordinating initial programming and design for the schematic design phase, initial site excavation and environmental remediation.
