Rabobank
Atlanta, Georgia
Headquartered in Amsterdam, Rabobank is the largest financial services provider in the Netherlands, with an extensive network of international offices. It is a global leader in food and agri financing, as well as one of the world’s top three “AAA” rated commercial banks.
Faced with relocating its southeast regional headquarters from One Atlantic Center to the 22nd floor of the 1180 Peachtree Street building in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, the bank hired Heery, which had previously designed its office space, to provide full service interior design and construction administration. The interior team’s directive was to create a design that would convey a banker’s image with a contemporary interpretation reflecting a strong corporate philosophy for open communication. This gave the designers the opportunity to create an innovative open plan with Dutch-influenced interior finishes and materials.
Freestanding accent walls of sienna and blue are drawn from the corporate logo colors and open the space up visually, as do the glass walls separating the private offices. Low modular furniture systems with light wood accents maintain the use of clean European design lines. Overall the design for the 9,500 SF office features high end finishes and detailing, which is firmly based on the company’s mission to have a global presence while striving to differentiate themselves from their competitors by offering specialized financial solutions.
