Phillipsburg Early Childhood Center

Phillipsburg’s first Early Childhood Center was officially dedicated in late January 2006 with a community open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring the city’s mayor and school superintendent.  The 86,442 SF, $18.7 million state-of-the-art facility is LEED Silver certified and includes a media center, a cafetorium, indoor and outdoor play areas, a nurse’s station, administrative areas and a gym for community use.   It is the first new school in Phillipsburg in 25 years, and houses 530 three- and four-year-olds, as well as kindergarten pupils.  Heery, as program manager and commissioning agent, provided services from design phase management through move-in.
