J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.

Nationwide

Since 1992, Heery has assisted J.P. Morgan Chase facilities staff on nearly 25 separate projects ranging from management of retail bank renovations, to development of facilities procedures manuals for integrating merged facilities, to design of prototypical "office-of-the-future" facilities and new credit card services facilities.

Heery provided full program management services for the design and construction of Chase’s global command center, located in Somerset, New Jersey.  This facility controls all of Chase’s data processing and financial transactions throughout the world.  It was their most critical facility and Heery managed the process from the conceptual design phase, through a multi-prime construction phase, culminating in final commissioning and close out, without the bank suffering any “down time”.

Heery provided program management services for the expansion of a data center in Somerset, across the street from the global command center.  During both Somerset projects, Heery concurrently managed two projects in Wilmington, Delaware, involving extensive electrical and mechanical infrastructure system upgrades at Chase’s other primary data center location. The Wilmington and Somerset locations provided limited backup to each other, so careful coordination of activities at the two locations was required to minimize the risk of impacting the bank’s operations.

Heery’s success in these projects led to multiple other construction program management efforts including: build out of the White Clay Center in Newark, Delaware; data center expansions in Wilmington, Somerset, and in Boston, Massachusetts; owner’s representation at Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation in Columbus, Ohio; consolidation of facilities in New York City; and expansion of the Chase campus in Tampa, Florida.
