Fayetteville State University - New Science & Technology Building
Fayetteville, North Carolina
Heery is providing planning, programming, architectural and engineering design for a new science and technology building for Fayetteville State University.
The new building is being designed to achieve LEED Silver certification and is a major element in the university’s master plan to provide advanced facilities and new academic programs for its students. Heery is teamed with Anshen + Allen, an international design firm that focuses on healthcare and science and technology projects for higher education.
The 76,000 SF facility will complete the campus science precinct and will include classrooms, laboratory and research spaces, offices, auxiliary services and a landscaped courtyard shared with two existing science buildings. Departments to be housed are forensics, physics, general chemistry, math and computer science, and information technology, including a new data center to serve the entire campus.
