Heery provided both staff augmentation services and commissioning services on this new, $14 million, 35,000 SF wine production and distribution facility, as well as on the addition to administrative offices and a separate private residence. The staff augmentation services included the bunkhouse construction, tasting room expansion and fermentation hall expansion. Heery’s commissioning team investigated the under-performance of the process heating and cooling systems; assisted in the redesign, contract award and site supervision of the subsequent corrective action project; produced a full commissioning report with maintenance recommendations; and conducted staff training in operating the HVAC, process, mechanical and control systems. A complete, correctly-operating system was delivered in 10 weeks during the winery summer shutdown period prior to the 2003 harvest.
