The city of Fall River, through its School Building Committee and Department of Public Works, embarked on a major construction program for the Fall River School District. The expansion and upgrading of the facilities allowed the district to plan for future growth. Since 1990 Heery has provided project management, contract administration, on-site representation and cost estimating, as well as claims analysis and change order negotiations, for the new 120,000 SF, 750-student Henry Lord Middle School; renovation and addition to the John J. Doran Elementary School; the new 96,000 SF North End Elementary School; the new 102,500 SF Spencer Borden Elementary School; and the new 107,000 SF William Greene Elementary School. In addition, Heery oversaw all contractor efforts on the $1.3 million Durfee High School roof renovation project.
Most recently, Heery provided project management for the new 92,000 SF Alfred S. Letourneau Elementary School which replaced the existing 1930s school; the new 178,000 SF Matthew J. Kuss Middle School; the new 92,000 SF Ralph M. Small Elementary School; and the new 110,000 SF Slade Elementary School.
