Beaufort County School District - Project Coordination Services

Heery is providing project coordination services for Beaufort County School District’s (BCSD) capital improvement program. Project assignments include assisting with project management during the design and construction of Red Cedar Elementary School and Bluffton Middle School. The $16.2 million Red Cedar Elementary School will be approximately 105,000 SF and serve 800 Pre-K – 5th grade students. The $23.5 million, 142,700 SF Bluffton Middle School will accommodate 1,100 students.

Heery is also under contract to provide the county with facilities program development services. These services include defining capital needs, developing prototype programming for BCSD’s elementary schools and early childhood learning centers, and creating district design standards and guidelines for future construction and renovation.

Thanks to a state funded capital renewal program, Heery is helping provide much needed upgrades to existing facilities. The approximately $12 million budget encompasses 120 projects, which include maintenance, security upgrades, floor covering replacement and other interior finish and site improvements.

Heery is partnering with CDI (Construction Dynamics Inc.) in the Beaufort County School District Capital Program Projects. CDI is the largest minority construction management firm in South Carolina.
