Armand Hammer Museum and Cultural Center

Los Angeles, California

The 264,000 SF Armand Hammer Museum and Cultural Center consists of a two-story museum, an open-air promenade and garden atrium, a 235-seat auditorium and performing arts center, library, bookstore,  restaurant, and a five-story, 670-space, underground parking structure.  The complex was erected to house Dr. Armand Hammer’s $400 million art collection and to provide cultural and meeting facilities for Occidental Petroleum and other corporate and institutional entities. Heery (as the JCM Group) was selected by Occidental Petroleum to provide construction management services including budgeting, cost control, schedule management, value engineering and construction contract administration. The project was completed on a “fast track” basis.
