Anne Arundel Community College

Arnold, Maryland

Heery has many repeat clients - they are the backbone of our business.  Anne Arundel Community College is a perfect example of Heery’s preference for long-term relationships with clients.  In the past, Heery has provided feasibility and cost studies for a series of modifications, improvements, repairs and additions to the Student Services Center and Student Success Center.  Heery also prepared the college’s 2001 facilities master plan which updated their 1996 master plan. Since that time, the campus has undergone several changes, including the expansion of the College’s western campus. The revised master plan projects the college’s facilities needs through 2011.

Heery’s success with Anne Arundel Community College has garnered the firm additional assignments. In addition to the facilities master plan, the firm has also completed another feasibility study and extended the master plan contract to yearly updates for the next five (5) years. Additionally, Heery issued a new Feasibility Study for a "New Administrative Support Complex."

Most recently, Heery prepared design build bridging documents and provided project management for the new $17 million, 97,000 SF Center for Applied Learning and Technology (CALT).  The three-story building serves as a focal point for the West Campus and includes state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and smart classrooms.  Following LEED guidelines, the facility faces south to maximize the energy saving potential of the sun and features a green roof with its own irrigation system.  In addition Heery provided project management services as the Owner’s Representative for the construction of a 7,200 SF modular office building.
