AID Atlanta
Atlanta, Georgia
Heery Design provided programming, space planning, design, signage, project management and move management for AID Atlanta’s new 18,000 SF office space in Midtown Atlanta. Additionally, Heery helped the non-profit organization solicit materials, furniture and services at reduced cost or through donations from companies such as, GE, Home Depot, Kaiser Permanente, Coke, Stargazer Development, Commercial Carpet Specialists, Bonitz Flooring, Forbo, and Rosing Painting and Wallcovering. The interior design group actually bought and made the signage for the space, working during lunch hours and after work to complete and install the signs. To meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for the signage, a local signage vendor donated that portion of the signs. AID Atlanta staff moved into their new facility in early July 2005 with the official dedication taking place on November 7. AID Atlanta’s Interim Executive Director, Steve Balfor, and his staff are thrilled with the new facility and its energetic and inviting space, which provides an ideal environment for administrative, education and counseling staff and the clients they serve.
